Keeping up with Miss Cleary
Date: 12th Jun 2020 @ 3:27pm
Hello, Class 5!
I have been so happy to hear from most of you this week. You all sound happy and cheery (even if some of you were really shy on the phone). Don’t worry if I have only spoken to mum or dad, I will hopefully make some more phone calls in the near future and speak to you too.
I have also received lots of lovely photographs, which I will put up on our catch up page. I have heard a lot of you are contacting each other through games, which is lovely to hear but please remember to stay safe online.
I have heard some of you are becoming demotivated during this time. I understand sometimes it can be hard to do things to challenge you, whilst there are lots of distractions try to keep up with your learning, it will benefit you in the next few months. Remember to continue practising your spellings, handwriting, multiplications, and topic work.
Each day, I try to read a couple of pages from a novel. At the moment, I am reading JK Rowling’s new story (I directed you to also read it this week). When we have all read the book, maybe we can have a book chat?
This week, I have been walking a lot more. I went to Delamere Forest last Saturday, it was so lovely to go out and explore. I managed to find a huge lake to walk around, it was so beautiful. During my walk, I saw a lot of people crouched down staring at the ground, it looked slightly odd but I had to have a look. To my amazement, there were hundreds of tiny, baby frogs. They were so small and trying their best to hop to the little stream. I have never seen a frog so small!
Anyway, that is all from me this week.
Remember to keep motivated, keep happy and be good,
Love,
Miss Cleary
