Class 8 2020 - 2021

Miss Walker

Good Morning Everybody,

We hope that you're all staying safe and well at home.

Well done for all your hard work so far, it's fantastic to see how hard you are all working on your home learning tasks. We've really enjoyed receiving so much work back from you all, and also seeing you on our screens for the weekly Zoom meetings. It is such a shame that we cannot all be in school together at present but it is so important that we all stay at home and keep ourselves safe.

Each week, work will be posted on your individual class pages for you to complete during the week. At the top of the page you will find tabs that detail the work to be completed e.g. ‘Home Learning w/b 22.2.21.’ (w/b means 'week beginning'.) There will be Maths and English work each week and a mixture of topic work too.

Whilst you are at home, you should aim to access online learning as often as possible and complete tasks in order to prevent falling behind. The activities are designed to cover the aspects of learning that you would have accessed in school. It is important that you keep up to date with these lessons so that when we do return to school, you are able to continue where you left off.

You do not need to print any worksheets off. You can complete activities and write the answers in your workbook, which you brought home earlier in the year.

Each Monday morning and Friday morning there will be a Zoom lesson where we will go through your designated tasks for the week. It would be great to see as many of you as possible on these as it will give you clearer instructions how to complete the work. Details for the Zoom lessons will be emailed out to you all.

If you have any problems at all please do not hesitate to email one of us at school, our email addresses are at the end of each home learning page.

Stay safe,

From all of us in Year 5 and 6
