Hello Class 6.
We hope you are all staying safe and well.
We are really missing seeing you, so it's lovely to hear from you by email.
For your home learning this week, you will be working on fractions in maths and you have a summer activity booklet to do for English.
I've tried to hyperlink all the sites you need to visit and any work you need to do so just hover your finger over text to see if it's highlighted. Please click on each of the images or hyperlinks to open the files or, alternatively, download the links at the end of this message.
MATHS:
Fractions
Look at week 5 White Rose/ BBC for the relevant video links and activities. We recommend using White Rose as it's what we've been using in class so the children are used to it and they also have accompanying worksheets which we've downloaded for you. They do 4 daily worksheets and then a challenge on Fridays. BBC are following the same timetable and have good introductory videos that may help explain the topic so feel free to check them out if it's useful.

(I know some of you are using Carol Vorderman’s The Maths Factor site and if you’d prefer to carry on with that, that's OK.)
ENGLISH
Try reading for at least 20 minutes each day. There's nothing to stop you from reading more!! Don't forget to have a read of First News too.

HANDWRITING
Practise your handwriting.
Look at https://www.teachhandwriting.co.uk/cursive-joins-choice-3.html
to see the video clips on how to form letters and joins correctly. Practise these at your own pace, concentrating on keeping a consistent size (short letters short/tall letters tall).
FUN & GAMES
Well done to all the children who have been practising their times tables. Mrs Williams has informed me that we are currently beating Class 4, so well done! Let's keep it that way. If you have misplaced your login details, please email me at [email protected] and I'll send them out to you.
PSHE
Try to follow this week's kindness calendar.
It's all about ways to be kind in the home this week. How kind can you be?
