A message for Class 4 31/3/2020

31/3/20

Hi Class 4,

Well, it’s Tuesday and it’s just over a week since school closed and 2 weeks since I had to leave school. I hope you are getting used to being off and filling your days with lots of lovely activities and I hope you are all being good and helping out at home.

I’ve been trying to keep myself busy. I've joined a bookclub and am really enjoying the chance to catch up on some reading. Up until school closed, I had been walking 5 miles every day and had really been enjoying my walks in the park or along the canal. Because I’d been poorly last year though, I’m not allowed to go out at all now but I have tried my best to stay active. I have put my exercise bike in the garden and have tried to cycle atleast 20 mins every day so I can keep fit and healthy. I am trying to do some exercise DVDs but I’m not very good at it!! I hope you have been doing some exercise.

Have you been doing the Joe Wicks' PE lesson each morning? If not, have a look and have a go. It’s really good. You can join in the fun by watching Wicks’s YouTube channel at 9am every weekday. Follow the link to subscribe right here. Joe started these classes on March 23, so if you want to work your way through each lesson from the beginning, you can also start hereIt's also possible to catch up with each lesson later in the day if you want a cheeky lie-in and 9am seems too early.

Image result for ttrockstars I hope you’re enjoying TTRockstars. I’ve been playing it and have got quicker. I’ve had quite a few Rockslams with some of you and some of the teachers too. Mr Mawson is very competitive and Miss Parr in Class 5 is a whizz. Have a go at challenging me or them to a 1-1  battle. Tell your friends about it and see who can be the best rockstar. If you’ve lost your login details. please email me at [email protected] and I’ll reset it for you.

How are you getting on with your learning packs? Try to do a few sheets each day. Remember to look at the online resources too that we’ve put together for you. Try to read at least twice a day for 20 mins, practise your spellings and keep working on those timestables. Keep writing in your diaries every day as you are experincing a unique part of history and it will be good to remember it when your're older.

Maybe you could learn something new while you’re off school. Could you learn to cook a meal? Learn some French? Learn to tell the time? Fasten your shoelaces? Learn a new instrument? Mrs Cashman has bought herself a keyboard and I'm going to practise my saxophone. What could you do?

Well done to all of you for your hard work and adapting to your new working week. I've been checking up on your progress with your timestables and I'm proud of you for how much you have improved. I wish you all the best during this uncertain time and I look forward to us all being back in class as soon as possible. (You may not recognise me though as my hair has gown quite a bit, even in the last 2 weeks that I've been off)

Take care, stay in and stay safe

Love

Mrs Williams
