This half term we have been learning ...

English

This half term our book is Leaf by Sandra Dieckmann.

We visited our school forest and found a Magic Story Box, that has been gifting us clues about our story.

We have been learning lots of facts about polar bears and created our own fact files.

Maths

In Maths we have been learning about place value and completing lots of practical maths activities.

RE

In RE we have been focusing on The Bible. We have been reading and acting out some of our favourite stories from The Bible.

We enjoyed acting out the story of The Good Samaritan.

Science

In Science we have been learning about animals including humans. We have been learning about how to keep ourselves healthy. We participated in a minute exercise challlenge. We also tasted a variety of fresh fruit with Jenny from Asda Aintree.

PSHE

In PSHE we have been learning about and discussing our world and how we fit in to it. We discussed that we all belong to our families, school and the community. We created a display for the main hall, about where we belong.

History

This half term the children have enjoyed learning about The Great Fire of London. They have compared past and present day London, discussing how they are similar and how things have changed over time. The children sequenced the key events of The Great Fire of London using a timeline.

Art

This half term Class 2 have created Modigliani inspired portraits. We are very proud of our self portratis and they are on display outside of our classroom.

PE

This half term we have developed our dancing skills. We developed a dance sequence inspired by a circus.
