Remembrance Day 2020

At 11.00am on the 11th day of the 11th month we remembered.

We remembered all the people who gave their lives for our country across the range of wars.

Instead of studying a famous piece of War Poetry – we thought we’d be a little different and we decided to look in detail at a song about war.

You might have heard it, you might not but it certainly struck home an important message to us all in Class 7.

It's called 'The Green Fields of France' - it was written by Eric Bogle but we listened to the version by The Fureys.

We certainly will not forget the sacrifice that thousands of soldiers made.

Like all classes in school we visited the school cenotaph to pay our respects to the fallen.
