Remembrance Day

Today, the children of Class 5 have been learning all about Remembrance Day.

 

Today we stood together, to remember all those who fought for our country and those who didn’t make it back.

At 9.30 am we laid our handmade wreath in front of our school Cenotaph and spoke about all the people from Kirkby who went to war and read their names from a plaque.  

At 11 am we bowed our heads for a two-minute silence to commemorate the veterans of war.
