Returning to Autumn 2

What an amazing week!

Thank you parents for supporting your children to settle back into nursery class after being closed due to Covid. Our learning has taken us from 'spooky' costumes to eating warm porridge and painting poppies for the men and women who have kept us and our country safe.

We have enjoyed a range of outdoor learning after mastering our outdoor suits and wellies we are always ready for the outdoors. We had a visit from Winnie the witch (Mrs McPhillips) with goodies from her cauldron along with an order of 7 pumpkins too. Mrs Schumacher hepled us carve them as we created boats from the pumpkin skin, used a stick and leaves to create the sail and finally created a sea to sail them on. Learning lots of new language, the 'bow' is the front of the ship and the 'stern' is the back.

Indoors we enjoyed yoga with Mrs Vella which made us very hungry so we ate a healthy snack and drank our water. The 'spooky' costume day was such fun and a great opportunity for communication, language and literacy and many giggles! Once again thank you parents for your ongong support.

One last thing to inform you of, the focus story has been...'Ten Spooky Ghosts in a Haunted House'. The children loved the repitition, identification of numbers to ten and the rhyme within the story.
