Hello from Miss Melville

Hello Class One

I hope you and your family are all well and staying safe during this time.

It feels like it has been a long time since we have all seen each other but hopefully it won’t be too long until we are all back together again in our classroom.

I do hope that you are finding lots of things to do to keep busy. My days have been very busy. As you know, I have two boys, Alistair and Aidan. They are also off school so I am trying to help them carry on learning a little at home. Sometimes they listen very well and complete all of their tasks but on other days, they don’t listen, they don’t want to work and they are not the best behaved students! We have found that our happiest days have been those that have included a little bit of work followed by artwork, playing in the garden, going for a walk, playing board games and watching some TV (they love Horrible Histories and You v’s Wild with Bear Grylls). Alistair is trying to teach me how to play chess and Aidan is teaching me how to do a somersault on our trampoline. I’m not very good at either at the moment, but I will keep trying to get better.

Let’s not forget about the other little boy in our household. Do you remember me talking about our puppy Finn? He is on my laptop screensaver. Finn is getting bigger, he is 9 months old and is absolutely loving all of the attention and fuss he is getting now that we are spending lots more time at home. We go out each day for a nice long walk to get some fresh air. We are very lucky as we live close to some fields so there is a lot of space for us all to run around.

I would love to hear how you are all getting on, if you would like to send me a message to say hello or to let me know what you have been doing to keep yourself busy, then please feel free to email me on

[email protected]

I look forward to hearing from you and I hope to see you all soon.

Stay safe. Take care.

Love Miss Melville xx
