Design & Technology gives pupils the opportunity to think creatively, solve problems and turn ideas into reality.
Through designing and making, pupils develop practical skills alongside their knowledge of materials, processes, engineering, electronics, computing, mathematics and science. They learn to identify problems, explore possibilities, test ideas and refine their solutions.
Our pupils are encouraged to be creative, resilient, resourceful and curious.
They learn that successful design rarely happens on the first attempt, it involves experimenting, evaluating, learning from mistakes and making improvements.
From the initial idea to the finished product, pupils experience the satisfaction of designing, making and creating something of their own.
