Recount of week 2 of home schooling

Date: 3rd Apr 2020 @ 11:08pm

Hi Reception,

It is the end of the second week of staying safe at home.  I have loved hearing from you and looking at your pictures and reading your news.  We are all keeping busy.  This week my kids and I have done some exciting activities.

First I found some locks and challenged Milly and Austin to open them as quick as possible.  Milly unlocked them in 9 minutes.  Austin managed to find the right key but he struggled to turn it.

Next Milly made a rainbow using cotton wool and coloured card and it is now displayed in the window.  Can you make a rainbow?

Then we decided to prepare for Easter.  We got a twig and then decorated it with polystyrene Easter eggs.  We pushed the twig into a bucket and stuck butterfly stickers on the bucket.

After that Austin wanted to make and paint a boat.  I found a piece of wood in grandad’s shed and pretended it was a boat.  He mixed red paint and blue paint to make a new colour.  Do you know what colour he made?  He then mixed red paint and yellow paint.  Do you know what red and yellow make?

Next we went on a bug hunt in the garden.  Milly found a Ladybug.  Can you spot it on the leaf?

After that we made some play dough animals using cutters and shapes.

Finally, Milly and Austin made themselves using fish fingers, beans and potato.  I think they look like my children, do you?

I would love to hear your news and see some of your pictures.  Perhaps you can do the same things as us.  Please email any pictures or if you want to tell me anything or ask any questions my email is [email protected]

Remember, to stay safe, stay home, wash your hands, and be good.
