Recount of week 5 of home schooling

Hi Reception,

Hope you are all well and staying safe.  Did you receive your Covid pack?  Have you seen the video of the teachers yet?  There is a new video competition on the website, take a look.  I have received lots of emails and photographs and have updated the home schooling page and display wall.  I can’t believe it is the end of week 5 already.  Time has gone fast.   I know some of you are missing your friends and are face timing each other but keep checking the display wall to see your friends keeping busy.  We have had a cool week splashing about in our new pool.

First, I bought a new pool for the children but didn’t realise how big it was until it was set up.  There was enough space for me too, so I got in after lunch.  They loved splashing me.

Next, we made playdough and used shape cutters to create all sorts of things.  Can you see the dinosaur? 

Then I went through the kitchen cupboards and any food that was out of date was used by Milly and Austin to create their own dish.  I never tried their food though as it had gravy, tea, mustard, stale biscuits and herbs in. 

After that we had a disco in the garden as we all love to dance. Do you remember your favourite dance in class?  I think mine was Pizza.

Next I have been teaching Milly to skip.  She went from doing 0 skips to 46 skips today.  She is now better than me.

Finally we had a BBQ with yummy food.  My dad was the chef.
