Reading at Home

Date: 17th Jan 2021 @ 11:48am

It is very important that children practise their reading skills at home - whatever stage they're at in their reading development.

This is challenging at the moment with us not regularly changing home reading books, if at all.

We would like to direct you to the following website

You will need to register (for free) and then you can access a free e-book library.

They have most of the reading schemes that we use in school across the different levels.

You should have a reading book at home that you can use as a guide to find others at a similar level.

Please record in your child's reading diary, any books that they read so that we can keep a record and reward your child for their efforts.

Many thanks for your support.

Purple Poppies

Date: 15th Nov 2020 @ 4:51pm

Class 3 painted purple poppies as a symbol of remembrance for animals that served during wartime.

We visited the K.C.E. cenotaph to reflect and remember all those who who died for their country.

Wizard of Oz

Date: 14th Nov 2020 @ 1:22pm

Key Stage One had a very special treat on Monday 9th November - a theatre performance in the hall.

It looked a little different from our usual performances but no less exciting or engaging.  The show was repeated 3 times so that we could watch in our class bubbles and only one actor attended in person (keeping his 2 metre distance from us) whilst the rest of the cast appeared on the big screen.

The show was amazing! The children loved it and it was a great stimulus for some super writing, drawing and learning of such a classic story.

A massive thank you to M&M Theatrical Productions. We support you in these difficult times. You did an incredible job.
