Class 9 Football Tournament

During our PE lessons the last few weeks, we have been looking at invasion games and the importance of invading the opponent's territory while scoring points and keeping the opposing team's points to a minimum. There are many different types of invasion games but we based our skills on football.

In Class 9, there are some children who play football regularly and some who actively look to avoid it, therefore we catered for all skill levels.

To test out some of the skills learnt so far we held our very own Class 9 Football Tournament. Lots of fun was had by all and it was played in fantastic spirits. Team 1 and Team 3 finished joint top at the end of the tournament with the rest of the teams close behind.

All of the children played well during the tournament but a special mention must go to Carl Stockley who was voted as the 'Player of the Tournament.' Well done Carl!

Well done to all involved and I look forward to the next one in the coming weeks.
