I hope you are all well. Below are your tasks for this week.
Please remember, do not feel obliged to complete all work set. You have lots to work with and I know being the dedicated children that you are, you are doing your best. These are just additional pieces of work that can be completed at your own leisure. Any questions or problems please do not hesitate to contact me.
Maths Task
This week’s focus is decimals.
The worksheets cover ordering decimals, rounding to the nearest whole number and rounding to one decimal place.
I have attached a decimal place value grid that you may wish to use as well as a link to the BBC Bitesize website which has some videos that you might find useful.
English Task
Your English task is to read the short extract from ‘The Midnight Fox’ by Betsy Byars and think about what is happening and the characters that you are introduced to.
The next stage is to illustrate what you think you can see. We have done this before in class and this is a fantastic way to bring your ideas to life.
Hint: You may need to read the extract more than once to ensure that you have picked up on all of the description of the setting and the characters.
Topic Task
For this week’s task, I would like you to design a new product or business idea and tell me why you think that this idea should be invested in.
I would like you to draw/describe your new product/ business idea and write a persuasive piece of writing which persuades me to want to invest in your product.
Why is your idea different to any other? Is it worth the expenses? Who is this product aimed at?
