Nature at home
Nature at home
As you are aware at Kirkby CE Early Years we're passionate about getting our youngest of children outside and experiencing nature first-hand. In our school grounds all of the children in school have recently participated in the Big Garden Birdwatch with some fantastic results.

Here are some activities, resources and opportunities to support and help inspire your children to experience and learn about nature at home and school this week. These activities are fun, working in the outdoor environment, encouraging patience and awareness of nature
Identify a bird through its song: https://www.rspb.org.uk/birds-and-wildlife/bird-songs/what-bird-is-that/
Feed hedgehogs in a DIY cafe
Open a bird café:

After your activities why not sit in the garden and draw a picture, chalk on the floor, match your crayons, pencils or felt tips to the leaves or bark on the trees and listen to the natural surroundings? If it’s too wet ask an adult to help you listen to the Birdsong Radio.
Music
As a thank you for getting Let Nature Sing in the charts, Birdsong Radio has been created so that you child can enjoy bird song anytime, anywhere. You can listen live on the website, or via our app.

Good luck with your natural leaning and please send in what you have achieved.
