A catch up from Miss Farrell x

Date: 20th Apr 2020 @ 10:12am

Hello, Class 5 it is Miss Farrell here.

I thought I would write to you all about what I have been doing to keep busy during this unusual time.

I have been enjoying lots of walks with my little dog Nell, who you all know I adore. We have been visiting baby goats every day and feeding them carrots and apples through the gates, we've seen lots of horses too.

I have also been doing something that I haven’t done since I was back in school, riding a bike! The other day, I accidentally rode 20 miles on my bike as I managed to get myself very lost and ended up near Southport! But I used my phone to get me home eventually.

It is a good job I have been doing lots of walking and cycling because I have also been baking far too many cakes! I have made brownies, cheesecake, cookies, and cupcakes, fudge and even peanut butter ice cream; for those lovely hot days, we have been blessed with. I think I am getting pretty good, however, I don’t think I’ll ever be as good as Miss Parr!

Gardening is also a new hobby of mine. I have started to grow my own vegetables, herbs and some strawberries at the end of my garden.

I wanted to thank you all again children for making my time at Kirkby C of E so enjoyable. I enjoyed every moment of teaching you all and I wish you all the best and I hope to see you all again very soon.

Keep being amazing, working hard and most of all, having fun.
