Catching up with Miss Walker 19/04/20

Hello Class 8, it’s me again! 

How are we all? Did we have a good Easter and eat lots of chocolate? If you have watched our recent video then you will see for our own eyes that I definitely did!

Thank you to Thomas who sent me a picture of his yummy Easter cakes that he made, I have shared them on our ‘Class Bake Off’ page, please keep your entries coming as I will keep this page up and running and will select a prize at the end of each couple of weeks. Here are my bakes from this week, my first one didn’t go to plan but my lemon cake did and Monty enjoyed it too and he is a tough critic!

           

This week I decided to dust off my bike and get it out of the garage whilst the weather was nice. It is safe to say that my jelly legs definitely did not thank me the next day however I felt so good for getting it out after years and getting some fresh air. I am going to start to explore some different places (obviously within my hour of daily exercise). I have also been nominated to run or walk 5K and donate £5 to the NHS, I will be completing this tomorrow and will let you know how this goes. Why don’t you have a go too?
                                                               
As well as keeping myself busy doing school work, exercising and baking I have also been taking this time to have a rest and spend time with my loved ones. It is really important to have that balance of doing school work and enjoying your time at home with your family. This weekend I hosted a quiz for my family and I must say I enjoyed being a quiz master! Maybe I should make a quiz for you all to complete, would you like this?
