Catching up with Miss Walker!

Date: 9th Apr 2020 @ 4:47pm

Hello/ Olá Class 8! laugh

How are we all? It has nearly been three weeks since I last saw you all for that short but sweet first week of mine!

What have you all been up to the last few weeks? Have we been working through our packs? Helping those around you? Or doing your own learning and fun activities? I would love you all to keep in touch with me and let me know what you have all been up to therefore feel free to send me an email via
[email protected]
maybe just to say hello or to send me any pictures and I will reply as soon as I can!

Well Miss Walker did say that she was going to try and practise her baking skills and that is exactly what she has been doing each weekend, and if I do say so myself they have been delicious so far and I think I will be hunted down by Paul Hollywood soon (head judge off the British Bake Off).  However, the only judges for now are my family who have definitely been enjoying all the treats. Which got me thinking that maybe we could have our own virtual 'Class 8's Bake Off'. I have created a class page and you can send me pictures of any baking that you do and I will post them on our new page and I judge the best bakes at the end of the easter holidays. How does that sound?

How have you all been keeping in touch with you friends and family? Have you been playing knock and run on your grandparent’s house like me and leaving them treats ? Or let me guess, using FaceTime and all types of technology to keep in touch? We are very lucky that we have these types of communication during this time.

I have been trying my best to keep active most days of the week as I seem to be making far too many trips to the kitchen lately with being in the house 24/7, I think I need to practise my social distancing from the fridge! Joe Wick’s work outs have definitely kept me active as well as my mum (which she isn’t very happy about). I really don’t know how he does it, I wonder how many of you have completed his workouts and how many you have done? You deserve a medal if you have done every single one! Maybe you have been doing some other forms of exercise; walking, jogging or even dancing round your house! Just make sure you are keeping as active as you can especially now the weather is getting nicer.

Last of all, please make sure that you are enjoying your easter break and you are behaving well for your families! Please have a look at our new pages added to our class page and send me a little message as I would love to know what you have all been up to!

Feliz Páscoa a todos!

Love Miss Walker smileyheart
