It’s me again…
How have you all been? I am keeping well. This week has been a great week, on Friday me and Miss Parr had a zoom meeting with a couple of you. Wow, Oh, Wow! Your hair is so long. I am so glad you are keeping happy and have grown some lovely vegetables and sun flowers. Keep up the excellent work and the smiley faces!
If you would like to be on the next zoom meeting, just get an adult to give me a quick email and I will put you on the list. Maegan.Cleary@kirkbyce.co.uk
Well, I couldn’t possibly write a blog and not mention the momentous win for Liverpool on Wednesday! Miss Parr was ecstatic!!!! Myself, on the other hand, enjoyed the fireworks and was happy my dad was happy.
This week, there has been a lot of change in the weather. I have thoroughly enjoyed the thunder storms and heavy rain. It so comforting to sit at home and listen to the rain on the window, until I remember that I have left the washing on the line (not good). On the sunnier days, I have taken full advantage of walking. I have walked around a lovely lake in Delemere Forest and have also visited The Dream Sculpture in St.Helens. What lovely Views! Why don’t you see for yourself ?
Finally, yesterday I finished my week by baking some lovely scones with jam and cream with strawberries from my garden. They were delicious, unfortunately I didn’t have enough time to take a picture because they were all eaten in the matter of minutes!!!
Well that’s it from me this week,
Miss C x

Hello, Class 5!
I have been so happy to hear from most of you this week. You all sound happy and cheery (even if some of you were really shy on the phone). Don’t worry if I have only spoken to mum or dad, I will hopefully make some more phone calls in the near future and speak to you too.
I have also received lots of lovely photographs, which I will put up on our catch up page. I have heard a lot of you are contacting each other through games, which is lovely to hear but please remember to stay safe online.
I have heard some of you are becoming demotivated during this time. I understand sometimes it can be hard to do things to challenge you, whilst there are lots of distractions try to keep up with your learning, it will benefit you in the next few months. Remember to continue practising your spellings, handwriting, multiplications, and topic work.
Each day, I try to read a couple of pages from a novel. At the moment, I am reading JK Rowling’s new story (I directed you to also read it this week). When we have all read the book, maybe we can have a book chat?
This week, I have been walking a lot more. I went to Delamere Forest last Saturday, it was so lovely to go out and explore. I managed to find a huge lake to walk around, it was so beautiful. During my walk, I saw a lot of people crouched down staring at the ground, it looked slightly odd but I had to have a look. To my amazement, there were hundreds of tiny, baby frogs. They were so small and trying their best to hop to the little stream. I have never seen a frog so small!
Anyway, that is all from me this week.
Remember to keep motivated, keep happy and be good,

Hello Class 5
Well, a new week a new challenge.
How are you class 5? My emails have been pretty quiet this week, meaning you have been really busy and up to new and exciting stuff? Please tell me!
This week, I have set myself a target. As you know, I have been trying to jog but it’s not going so well. So, I have had a change of mindset and have downloaded a new running app and I will achieve this goal! My aim is to run 5k in 5 weeks. I will start off slow but will build up my endurance and eventually will succeed!
This week, I have taken full advantage of my extra exercise time and decided to take a trip to the beach and run up and down the sand dunes (can you guess where I went?). It was really hard and I was so grateful for the soft landing of the sand (I fell a lot). Needless to say, my car and house were full of sand!
As well as the beach, I have found a lovely walk near a canal which I have taken full advantage of during the sunny days. During my walks, I got to see some ducks with their new baby ducklings (so cute!). I fed them some bread, I think they must have been hungry because all they did was follow me up the canal.
I think that is enough from me this week,
Why don’t you email/blog me about your week?
Keep safe and be kind,

Hello Class 5,
Another week of lockdown, another week to spend some quality time with your family.
How have you been? I have felt a lot better this week. I have celebrated my birthday last Sunday (03/05/2020)! As some of you may have experienced, it is a little different during lockdown but I have enjoyed every second of it with my nearest and dearest (in my household), so I could not ask for much more really (even if I did get spoiled).
This week, I went on a little adventure during my 1 hour of exercise (close to my house). I took a trip down memory lane and walked to a small woodland which I have not visited since I was 10 years old! It was so lovely to hear all the birds, see pheasants, tadpoles, ducks, and terrapins. As I was walking around the little lake, I was able to capture a video of a terrapin jumping into the lake (why don’t you have a watch of my video). While I was walking, I also found an old den some had made. I thought it was really good, but what do you think?
Well, that’s it from me for this week,
Please email me/ blog me back,

How have you been? This week for me has been a bit of a struggle, but it's normal given the situation. I have tried to keep myself busy. It’s important to keep both your body and mind busy.
Which is why I continue to exercise and walk daily. I have tried to do a little more reading and have been making the most of the sun in the garden.
This week, I had a Mad Hatters tea party (just like the one in my favorite book, can you remember it?). Have a look at the pictures. I really enjoyed my crème tea and jam scones. It was delicious!
I have also tried to keep up with friends, it has been lovely to keep in touch. I hope you're still keeping in contact with some of your friends too.
I have enjoyed seeing a lot of your pictures and have kept an eye on both twitter and Times Tables Rock Stars. Well done to a few of you! I have seen some of you celebrating special birthdays and trying really hard with your multiplication skills.
Anyway, that’s it from me for now,
Be safe, be kind and stay brave,

Hello, Class 5 it is Miss Farrell here.
I thought I would write to you all about what I have been doing to keep busy during this unusual time.
I have been enjoying lots of walks with my little dog Nell, who you all know I adore. We have been visiting baby goats every day and feeding them carrots and apples through the gates, we've seen lots of horses too.
I have also been doing something that I haven’t done since I was back in school, riding a bike! The other day, I accidentally rode 20 miles on my bike as I managed to get myself very lost and ended up near Southport! But I used my phone to get me home eventually.
It is a good job I have been doing lots of walking and cycling because I have also been baking far too many cakes! I have made brownies, cheesecake, cookies, and cupcakes, fudge and even peanut butter ice cream; for those lovely hot days, we have been blessed with. I think I am getting pretty good, however, I don’t think I’ll ever be as good as Miss Parr!
Gardening is also a new hobby of mine. I have started to grow my own vegetables, herbs and some strawberries at the end of my garden.
I wanted to thank you all again children for making my time at Kirkby C of E so enjoyable. I enjoyed every moment of teaching you all and I wish you all the best and I hope to see you all again very soon.
Keep being amazing, working hard and most of all, having fun.
Miss Farrell J

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? Sadly, I have not received any emails this week?!
Please email me at Maegan.Cleary@kirkbyce.co.uk.
I hope you have thoroughly enjoyed Easter and have received lots of eggs. I have had a lovely little break and even got a couple of eggs myself! YUM! I wanted to share my eggs with everyone else in the house, so I had ago at making rice crispy cakes! Have a look at the pictures (I think I did a good job), they even tasted lovely.
Have you made anything with your Easter eggs? Or even want to show me pictures of you enjoying your eggs, please send pictures. I want to create a catch up page with C5 pictures so you can all see what each other are getting up to, but I can’t do that if no one is contacting me!
This week, I have decided to push myself. I always walk the same lovely route around the Woodlands but this week I have decided to jog! Me jog, who knew?! I know I am only on day six, but I am having less rests on my route. I am hoping my next week, to be able to run the whole area without walking (fingers crossed). As well as running, I thought I would try something new. So this week, I have used YouTube and have been learning some new dance moves; using Just Dance. Why don’t you give it ago? There are a lot of current pop songs, so I think you would be able to find something you liked. Why don’t you give it ago?
I have had some good points to the week, I made deck of cards stand up like a house (without sellotape or glue). I was so amazed and was even able to get some pictures before it fell down.
Inspiration of the week.
This week, I have been really inspired. I have read a fantastic article about a World War 2 Army Veteran, who is 99 years old. His name is Captain Tom Moore. Captain Moore has aimed to fundraise money for the NHS, by walking the length of his garden (25m) 100 times; before his 100th birthday. His aim was to raise £1,000 but as of 18/04/2020 he has raised near to 21 million pounds!!! Wow, oh wow!
The best part is he completed his challenge!!
What an inspiration and to top it off he said he ‘feels fine’.
Well Done Captain Moore!
Why don’t you have a look for yourself?
I was thinking of maybe doing a quiz competition next week, where you could win some cool prizes? What do you think?
You could send your replies to Maegan.firstname.lastname@example.org
Well that’s all from me.

Hello Class 5!
I am going to keep my first blog short and sweet.
I miss you all so, so much! I miss all of your quirky questions of a morning and even miss telling you to PICK UP YOUR COATS AND BAGS.
How have you all been? Have you been doing your work packs? Are you helping at home?
I have not been feeling too well this week, but have always got out of bed and sat in the garden. I have been keeping myself busy by finding somethings for you to keep busy (Evil, I know). So, have a look at all the tabs at the tops of the page.
I would love to see anything you have kept yourself busy doing, any art pictures/models? Have you learnt something new? Even pieces of work would be nice J I could maybe use them for my next blog.
Here is my email, so you can keep me up to date: Maegan.email@example.com
(I know, you now know my first name)
Keep busy, stay home and be kind.
Love Miss Cleary.
